Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission (CCVSC), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and OhioMeansJobs│Cleveland-Cuyahoga County (OMJ│CC) are hosting the Veteran’s Virtual Resource and Employment Fair on January 28 and 29, 2021. The event will provide Veterans with a comprehensive event to access community services and resources.

“The CCVSC is excited to ensure that our Veterans can continue to access services even during these trying times. We encourage Veterans to participate and maximize this tremendous benefit,” says Jon Reiss, Executive Director of Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission.

All interested in attending the virtual event will need to register at omjcc.easyvirtualfair.com. Registered attendees can browse the virtual booth of each organization all day on January 28th and 29th, accessing information about community resources and submitting their resume. Representatives from each organization will be available from 10 AM until 2PM each day to chat online with attendees.

A partnership with PCs for People to assist Veterans needing access to computers or the internet has been developed. Veterans can reach out to PCs for People at (216) 930-5741 to discuss eligibility.

Our veterans gave so much to us. Now it’s our time to give back. Our veterans need access to community resources and jobs to live their best lives,” says Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. “We are continuously exploring options to expand access to services and resources throughout Cuyahoga County, and are proud to support this event which will provide a virtual and safe option for Veterans to access critical resources and available jobs.”

The Veteran’s Virtual Resource and Employment Fair will provide a platform for veterans to access program information about public benefits, housing, mental health services, and more. Veterans can interact directly with organization representatives throughout Cuyahoga County, while remaining safe and distanced in a virtual environment. Organizations that have already confirmed their participation include:

  • Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Cuyahoga County Department of Health and Human Services
  • Ohio Means Jobs│Cleveland-Cuyahoga County (OMJ│CC)
  • Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT)
  • United Way 211
  • VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System
  • Serving Area Military and Veterans (SAM) Center
  • Over 30 employers

“OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland Cuyahoga is excited to serve veterans through a virtual platform, letting all who logon know what services are available to them. The partners in the OMJ American Job Center stand ready to help in any way they can,” Frank Brickner, Interim Executive Director and CFO, OMJ|CC.

Updates regarding the Veteran’s Virtual Resource and Employment Fair will be shared on the CCVSC website, https://cuyahogavets.org and Facebook page.
