VIDEO: Cuyahoga County Sanitary Team—Doing the “Dirty” Work

by Devyn Giannetti , Communications Specialist, Department of Communications

The work the Cuyahoga County Sanitary Team does on a day-to-day basis isn’t exactly glamorous work—but Donald Cox, Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, says it’s pretty rewarding.

“Residents are usually pretty happy to see us when we show up at their door,” he says. He notes this is usually because a clogged pipe can lead to some unpleasant smells. That ends with a call to the Sanitary Team.

The Sanitary Team has agreements with the majority of municipalities to provide emergency repairs and services for eliminating blocked laterals and sewer mains.
