Every two years, the County Executive submits a recommended budget and capital improvements plan that must be reviewed and confirmed by County Council. Budget hearings take place in Q3 of the prior year and give an opportunity to the directors of each Executive Office department or division to share information about their budget, including changes, increases/decreases and new initiatives.
