FitzGerald Urges County Residents to Apply for Free Health Insurance

Eligibility for Healthy Start is determined by the number of persons in the household and the total household income. For example, a family of four with an income of $44,100 or less a year is eligible for Healthy Start.
Once enrolled, families would receive health care from a Managed Care Plan, which provides a number of health care services including:

While the economic recession has continued to erode health coverage for families, the Healthy Start county program offers health insurance for low-to-moderate income families
CLEVELAND - In response to the recent findings of the Ohio Family Health Survey that were released earlier this week, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald stresses the importance of Healthy Start to Cuyahoga County residents. Healthy Start is a Cuyahoga County program that provides free health insurance for low- to moderate - income families with children up to age 19.
