County Executive Posts Medical Mart Contracts and Agreements

CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald announced today that the county website now provides access to numerous construction and management contracts relating to the Cleveland Medical Mart & Convention Center project as well as public presentations and historical documents.

“The public wants to know about the Medical Mart and the county is going to continue to expand the number and types of Medical Mart documents it posts on the county website,” said FitzGerald. “I am not aware of another major, local construction project that has shared contracts and agreements to this extent”.

The new documents are primarily in the areas of “Construction Administrative Agreement (CAA) and Definitive Agreement” and “Leases, Financing and Other Operational Documents.” Many of these documents are in excess of 100 pages, so viewers are encouraged to review them before printing them. The posting includes:

The county will continue to add documents to its Medical Mart webpage as they become available. “The county is interested in finding new ways to inform residents about county projects and efforts,” said FitzGerald. “Although some these newly posted documents are very technical in nature, we believe that making them available is critical to establishing the background of the project.”
