Sheriff Sets Physical Requirements for Sergeant Promotions

“In order to provide strong leadership, a supervisor must be able to set an example for the people he or she leads, “said Cuyahoga County Sheriff Frank Bova, a 29 year law enforcement veteran. “These physical requirements should apply to a Sergeant candidate as they do to a new deputy hire; these physical requirements will improve the quality of our workforce,” said Bova.
Required physical tasks include timed pushups, sit-ups, distance running and other tests. The test will be held this Saturday from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at Normandy High School. Media opportunities are available for interested outlets.

Physical Test to be Held Saturday
CLEVELAND – On Saturday, June 29, 2013, 29 deputy sheriff and 6 protective services candidates seeking to become Sergeants will be participating in physical skills tests required for promotion for Deputy Sheriff’s and Protective Services.
