It is with sadness that we report the death of Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office employee Powell W. Caesar III. Powell, age 63, had been a valued member of Medical Examiner’s team for over 5 years as its Senior Community Affairs Officer. He was a significant part of the daily operations of the Medical Examiner’s Office and his colleagues will remember him for his passion and hard work.We would like to extend our deepest condolences on behalf of the entire staff at Cuyahoga County.
Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas P. Gilson said of the passing, "Like many of you who knew him, I feel a deep sense of loss, especially with the sudden and unexpected way in which we lost him." He passed away yesterday, Memorial Day, of a heart attack.
“Powell was a remarkable man,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald. “His work was instilled with passion, pride, and class. It is important for all of us to take a moment to grieve the loss of an employee who was loved by his family, friends and colleagues.”
