What’s New in Applying for Benefits

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga Job and Family Services (CJFS) is hosting a Community Educational Forum on the new process in applying for benefits on Wednesday, October 16th, 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM.  The Forum will be held at Cuyahoga Community College Institutional Advancement Building (formerly VNA), at 2500 E 22nd Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.

The Forum will educate the community about the new Ohio Integrated Eligibility System replacing a fragmented, overly complex 30-year old outdated system with new technology; the future of Medicaid including eligibility changes, and an update on the Health Insurance Marketplace, and where to access local help.

CJFS continues to provide comprehensive child support assistance and administers public benefits including: Medicaid, food assistance, child care assistance, emergency assistance through the Prevention, Retention and Contingency program, and job training and placement services for Ohio Works First cash recipients.

Registration is online at www.cjfs.cuyahogacounty.us. For additional information, please call 216-987-7010.
