Call to Action on the importance of benefits for hungry families in Cuyahoga County

CLEVELAND –Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald will announce the Cuyahoga County Food Stamp Challenge to draw attention to federal and state cuts to the program and what this means to County
residents.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, feeds millions of hungry families every month. With the rising cost of food and the economy struggling, these benefits are sometimes a family’s only access to food.
