CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald named Jeannet Wright as the Acting Treasurer for Cuyahoga County. Wright will be replacing Mark Parks, who is serving as Acting Fiscal Officer. A posting for the permanent Treasurer position, which is nominated by the Executive and confirmed by County Council, will be posted in the near future.

Under the Cuyahoga County charter, the Cuyahoga County Treasurer has “all powers and duties now or hereafter vested in or imposed upon county treasurers by general law.”

Wright has 15 years of experience in fiscal management, financial processes, and budget analysis. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University, with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. She has most recently served in the Treasurer’s office as Deputy Treasurer.

“Jeannet has been a hard working member of the fiscal team for many years, and she has earned continued promotions due to her strong performance. She is well suited to this role in the Treasurer’s office,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald.
