CLEVELAND - In commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald joined City Year volunteers today for a service project painting murals to refurbish parts of Franklin Delano Roosevelt Academy in Cleveland.

"Dr. King devoted his life to serving others and working to build a better world than the one he was given," said FitzGerald. "I was honored to join volunteers from City Year today to celebrate Dr. King's legacy and help give back to our community."

Each year, City Year mobilizes thousands of volunteers nationwide for a Day of Service to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. FitzGerald and other volunteers at FDR Academy helped paint murals and enhance the Cleveland school's overall appearance.
