Cuyahoga County Commemorates National Nurses Week

CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald issued the following statement today in recognition of National Nurses Week, which is observed May 6-12, 2014:
"I'm proud that my mom worked for several years as a public health nurse, and I had the opportunity to see firsthand the selfless work that nursing professionals perform for those in their care. Every day, nurses play an indispensable role in offering their patients critical care and life-saving treatments in cities and towns all across this great nation. They truly make up the heart and soul of our nation's health care system."
"I take great pride in joining men and women across Cuyahoga County in celebrating National Nurses Week 2014. Here in Cuyahoga County, we are especially grateful for the hardworking nurses who serve the public through our area hospitals, nursing homes, public facilities, schools, and universities. I look forward to working with the members of our nursing community to enhance access to quality, affordable health care across Ohio, and I thank them for their continued service to our community."
