Cuyahoga County presents 7th Annual StreetFest

CJFS and OCSS host free family event

Cleveland, OH – Cuyahoga Job and Family Services’ (CJFS), Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) will host Seventh Annual StreetFest, on Monday, August 4, 2014, 10:00AM to 2:00PM located on East 17th Street between Superior Ave. and Payne Ave.  

StreetFest kicks off Child Support Awareness Month with a FREE family event designed to connect moms, dads, and caregivers to essential community resources while providing a variety of entertainment, food, and fun for kids.   

Agencies across the County provide links to programs that can assist with job searches, legal issues, health care, and parenting programs like the Fatherhood Initiative that assists fathers in having a productive positive relationship with their children.  

New this year,  a Job Fair at which employers will be hiring fathers and mothers seeking jobs to help them pay their child support.  

OCSS staff will be available to answer questions about child support services and to assist with registration to the State of Ohio’s Web Portal. The Web Portal allows users access to their case anytime day or night. The Web Portal can be accessed online at:  

OCSS provides family-oriented support services to help parents pay their obligation.  OCSS assists with re-instatement of driver’s licenses, job readiness skills and employment services eg the StreetFest Job Fair.  

In 2013, the Office of Child Support Services served 428,000 people including over 130,000 children.  The OCSS collected over $238 million in 2013.
