Akins Road Culvert Closing Today, Detours in Place

North Royalton – Today at 1:00 pm, the Akins Road Culvert C-01.12 will close until the Spring of 2016. The spring rains and wet weather accelerated the planned replacement of this 87 year old structure. The sidewalls or abutments are cracked, shifted, and undermined to the extent that they are near collapse. Detours using York and Bennett Roads are marked in signage on surrounding streets and in the map linked here.
