Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office Laboratory Offers No Charge Fingerprint Testing for Cuyahoga Justice Agencies

“The opening of the fingerprint lab is another step forward in the provision of regional crime lab services to our community,” said Dr. Gilson. “We are happy to make this service available at no charge to the law enforcement community of Cuyahoga County.”
The Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, located in the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, provides fingerprint services including, but not limited to:
The fingerprint lab currently has 3 forensic scientists, who specialize in fingerprint examination, with almost 40 years of combined experience.
In 2014, The Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory similarly announced no charge testing for county justice agencies that included DNA, drug chemistry, toxicology, and trace evidence services.

Regional Forensic Science Laboratory now accepting latent fingerprint casework
Cleveland, Ohio - Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas P. Gilson today announced the Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (CCRFSL) is now accepting latent fingerprint casework at no cost to all law enforcement and justice agencies in Cuyahoga County.“The opening of the fingerprint lab is another step forward in the provision of regional crime lab services to our community,” said Dr. Gilson. “We are happy to make this service available at no charge to the law enforcement community of Cuyahoga County.”

- Latent Fingerprint Lifting
- Fingerprint Comparison
- Evidence Examination
- Palm/Footprint Examination
- Automated Database Comparisons (AFIS)
