Cuyahoga County Now Offers Electronic Document Recording

Cleveland, OH – The Cuyahoga County Fiscal Department now offers electronic document recording (eRecording), a method of delivering and returning documents electronically from a submitter’s office to the recorder. eRecording can be an option for title companies, law firms, banks, and other businesses that record documents. The actual recording of a document is completed by the recorder’s software system, and is returned to the submitter electronically.
Cuyahoga County currently accepts non-transfer, general recording documents and UCC fixture filings for electronic recording. Documents accepted for electronic recording include; mortgages, satisfactions, lien releases, and assignments. Deeds and transfer documents will not be accepted electronically at this time.
