"Technology has transformed the way we live our lives and so it’s imperative that we as county government lead with technology to make it easier to engage our citizens and solve problems," said County Executive Budish. "The MyCuyahoga app is a great example of how we can work together to improve the overall quality of life in our county."
The MyCuyahoga app was built by CitySourced, a Los Angeles-based company that represents the vanguard of the open government movement by leveraging the latest technologies to take the friction out of civic engagement in ways that optimize government resources. CitySourced, a Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud partner, has been recognized as GovTech 100 company, along with awards from TechCruch50, Launch Conference, and others for innovations in service to the public sector.
"We are thrilled to partner with Microsoft and Cuyahoga County to help drive product adoption and educate constituents on how easy it is to help make their city a better place to live," said Jason Kiesel, Founder and CEO of CitySourced. "We developed CitySourced in order to streamline, prevent, and help predict the occurrences of urban blights and improve quality of life and public safety using mobile technology."
The app uses GPS to determine location and allows users to easily upload photos and report issues directly to Downtown Cleveland Alliance. The app is now available to mobile users and can be downloaded in your Google Play, Apple iTunes, and Windows Phone app stores today.
"Downtown Cleveland Alliance is thrilled to be one of the first to partner with Cuyahoga County to use this technology," said Joe Marinucci, President & CEO of Downtown Cleveland Alliance. "Its advancements and capabilities will allow us to increase our efficiency in keeping Downtown Cleveland a clean and safe environment."
MyCuyahoga is part of the Digital Alliance partnership with Microsoft Corporation –a collaborative effort intended to support the promotion and establishment of initiatives that focus on education and economic development.
