CLEVELAND – With the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs, Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish and County Council are meeting a friendly challenge from the Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and the 17-member Board of Commissioners.

Cuyahoga County officials proudly accepted a themed "Taste Of" challenge from Cook County officials. On the line for County Executive Budish are Cleveland-area themed food items including Bertman’s Ball Park Mustard, beef brats from the historic Westside Market and Mitchell’s Ice Cream. If the Indians win, Board President Preckwinkle will send Eli’s Cheesecake, Garrett Popcorn and soul food from MacArthur’s Restaurant.

"There was no question whether to accept an opportunity to support our American League Cleveland Indian champions", said County Executive Budish. "This is a great time for these historic teams, as all fans rejoice in the opportunity to win the long-awaited World Series title. But this is our year and we all stand ready to #RallyTogether for another win in our region."

"Cub fans have waited decades for this opportunity and we are more than ready to sample, appreciate and enjoy all of these fine Cuyahoga delicacies once our Cubs triumph," said President Preckwinkle.

The series returns to Progressive Field for Game 6 on Tuesday, November 1st.
