Invest In Children Launches New Resource For Families with Young Children

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County’s Invest In Children has launched CuyahogaKids.org, a new interactive resource where families with young children can find high-quality child care and preschool, fun things to do, interesting places to go, and get connected to important county resources when needed.
When searching for high-quality child care or preschool, CuyahogaKids only displays options that are rated high quality (three stars or higher) in Ohio’s Step Up to Quality rating system. The search results provide additional information on how to reach the provider, and indicates where scholarship and other assistance may be available. With new Cuyahoga County investments that will soon nearly double the number of high-quality seats available through the county’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program, the time is right for making it easier for parents to find a preschool that best meets their needs.
CuyahogaKids.org is a trusted source of information that is free, available on-the-go, and commercial free. Designed to work easily and quickly on a mobile device, CuyahogaKids.org can reach parents whenever and wherever they need information.
“We know we need to reach parents where they are, and they are on their phones!” said Dr. Rebekah Dorman, Director of Invest In Children. “Now they will have realtime information to help them take advantage of our community’s outstanding resources.”
The events, activities and fun places that parents see, are all entered by approved content partners who post their events and locations. By ensuring that only well-established and trusted organizations can contribute content, Invest In Children can make certain that the events are appropriate for young children and developmentally rich.
Development of CuyahogaKids was funded through grants from The Stocker Foundation and United Way of Greater Cleveland.
Invest in Children is Cuyahoga County’s public/private partnership administered by the Office of Early Childhood. Invest In Children mobilizes resources and energy to ensure the well-being of all young children, provide supportive services to parents and caregivers, and build awareness, momentum, and advocacy around children and family issues.
