Sheriff Office Hiring Deputies
CLEVELAND – The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Sheriff. Exams will be administered in early August.
Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent, must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment, must currently possess an Ohio Peace Officer’s Training Association (OPOTA) certificate, a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and current automobile insurance. They must not have been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor. Sheriff’s Deputies work throughout the justice system, offering security and support, respond to emergencies, help the public and work hand in hand with other law enforcement agencies to serve our community.
