UH Bikes Offering Early Voters Free Rides To and From the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections
CLEVELAND – UH Bikes, Cuyahoga County’s bikeshare program, is offering early voters free rides to and from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. Ride bike share to 2925 Euclid Ave. to cast your ballot in person and you will receive a phone notification containing 7 dollars of free UH Bikes ride credit when locking at the new Board of Elections virtual hub. Virtual hubs allow bike share members to secure bikes within a virtual hub perimeter, usually at public bike racks, without incurring an out-of-hub fee.
“Voting is a fundamental part of our democracy and it gives us a voice in shaping a government for the greater good of all,” said Mike Foley, Director of Sustainability, Cuyahoga County. “Our partnership with UH Bikes is a healthy, green and convenient way for voters to cast their ballot for this November 6th general election.”
“Reduced access to affordable and reliable transportation can be a barrier to voting,” stated Kerry Bailey, Regional Marketing Manager for UH Bikes. “We’re delighted to offer a free transportation option for the election and hope it will encourage the community to pedal to the polls.”
