Cleveland, OH - Cuyahoga County Council will consider the first round of grant awards to various municipalities in connection with the Community Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG) program for the 2019 fiscal year. This highly competitive grant program was approved by Council in June of 2016, allocating one million dollars from the Casino Revenue Fund to support community-based development projects throughout all municipalities within Cuyahoga County. This year a total of 15 communities and 5 non-profit organizations have been recommended for awards by the review committee.
“Council’s CDSG program has proven to be a popular program because it is responsive to the quality-of-life needs of Cuyahoga County communities. Each year we’ve received high-quality applications to fund significant projects throughout the County. I am looking forward to considering the recommendations for community development grant awards from our Department of Development in this competitive program,” states Councilman Jones.
County Council will approve funding after the committee process. Grant applications can be awarded up to $50,000 and are administered through the Cuyahoga County Department of Development who makes recommendations to County Council for approval.
