Budish Proposes Greg Huth as Law Director

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish today announced the appointment of Gregory Huth as Law Director.
Huth was serving as Deputy Chief of the Department of Development prior to this. Huth’s experience includes work with the City of Cleveland’s Law Department. He was in both the Law and Economic Development Departments with the City from 1996 to 2006. While with the City’s Law Department he advised on development finance and real estate transactions. After a stint in the private sector, Huth joined the Civil Division of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2008. Between 2008 and 2015 Huth advised various County departments on contracting and financing issues and was a critical member of the team developing the construction contracting and financing for the Huntington Convention Center and the Hilton Hotel.
“I am very pleased to announce that Huth will be joining my leadership team,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. “He brings extensive experience to the position; he knows and understands our community and our County Administration, and I know that he will be a terrific addition. I also want to thank Nora Hurley who provided excellent work as Interim Law Director.”
“During my most recent work at the County in the Department of Development I have been impressed by the strategic vision and work being done in the County,” said Huth. “I am looking forward to continuing to support the County in the position of Law Director.”
Huth’s appointment must be approved by County Council.
