CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH –Cuyahoga County welcomes Beachwood and Pepper into the Ready Notify Program.

Merging with Ready Notify will allow the residents of Beachwood and Pepper Pike to continue receiving notifications as they do now, while also registering to receive alerts from other communities within the County and take advantage of new technologies that expand the types of alerts they are able to receive.

“When emergencies happen, getting accurate and timely information to residents is vital. Ready Notify equips first responders and local officials with an efficient tool to fulfill this critical function,” said Alex Pellom, Director, Public Safety & Justice Services.

New subscribers can register for the system at www.ReadyNotify.us . Current subscribers will need to create a new account at the same site if they would like to receive alerts from other communities, such as areas where they work or their families reside.

“Being able to provide better service at a cheaper cost has attracted many municipalities to Cuyahoga County’s Ready Notify Program,” said County Executive Armond Budish. “We are proud of the successes and will continue to facilitate these partnerships and service improvements for our community clients.”

There are 26 communities currently enrolled in the Ready Notify Program, which is powered by the CodeRed application. Interested communities can contact the Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management at 216-443-5700, for more information, or to join.
