CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish released the following statement following Mike DeWine's call for gun reform:
“I am very pleased that Governor DeWine is calling for background checks on almost all Ohio gun sales as well as a 'red-flag' law for those who already own guns but are deemed too dangerous either to themselves or to others. The United States is in the midst of a terrible, deadly crisis. We need reasonable, common sense laws so that we can stem this tide of violence. If we do not do anything, we will continue to see the death tally rise and our neighbors, family members, and friends will continue to be lost to senseless violence.
"I urge the Ohio legislature to take up the Governor’s proposal swiftly and enact these reforms."
