CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - The Cuyahoga County Community Improvement Corporation (CCCIC) reviewed and recommended a $1.5 million Business Growth and Attraction Loan to Saucy Brew Works Independence, LLC on Wednesday. The loan is to assist in the funding of Saucy Brew Works’ proposed new production and distribution facility in the City of Independence.

“Our investments in development projects, like the new Saucy Brew Works facility adjacent to the new Top Golf complex and the Embassy Suites Hotel in Independence, are key in helping companies continue to stay, grow and thrive in our region,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. “We are pleased to invest in this project that will further build the City’s workforce and support its hotel industry.”

Saucy Brew Works is planning to construct its new 25,000 square foot facility in Independence on a new extension of Rockside Woods Boulevard built by the City and ODOT. The combination brewery, production plant and tap room will support the distribution of its beer products to three new states and two new locations in Ohio outside of Cuyahoga County. This new facility will become Saucy Brew Works’ main production facility, while its existing Detroit Avenue facility in Cleveland will be utilized for specialty and seasonal brews.

The company currently has 30 employees at its existing Cleveland facility. This new project in Independence will create 60 new jobs in Cuyahoga County within three years.
