CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH
– County Executive Armond Budish has pledged $2 million for the purchasing of critical PPE for healthcare workers in the midst of the coronavirus.

The County is also continuing to collect and distribute PPE for healthcare workers through the County’s Emergency Operations Center and the Harvard Garage Donation Center. Thus far, over 325,299 units of PPE have been distributed/assigned for pickup by the Emergency Operations Center, filling over 280 resource requests.

The following has been distributed/assigned for pickup:
  • 204,430 gloves
  • 7,577 N95s
  • 81,111 surgical masks
  • 2,410 eye protection (safety glasses)
  • 15,963 face shields
  • 9,564 gowns
  • 2,303 Coveralls
  • 1,400 shoe covers
  • 172 tubes of disinfectant wipes
  • 369 bottles of hand sanitizer

“Right now, it’s difficult to find the critical PPE that our healthcare workers need in the wake of this highly contagious virus,” said County Executive Armond Budish. “In addition to my pledge of $2 million to purchase even more PPE, we are doing what we can to get enough supplies out to healthcare workers that have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe and healthy. I am so grateful for the abundance of donations from our community members and the work of the EOC to get these supplies out to these critical workers.”

Healthcare organizations in need of PPE are encouraged to contact the Emergency Operations Center at 216-443-5700. Orders are primarily filled based on two-week supply needs at the facilities to ensure that resources on hand are most effectively utilized.

Donations can still be made at the Cuyahoga County Public Works Garage, located at 2501 Harvard Ave. Newburgh Heights, OH 44105. The hours of operation for the collection point are Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
