Over 80 Companies Registered to Participate in Virtual Job Fair Week June 15-19

Amazon, Cleveland Clinic, Allstate Among Employers Participating
CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Over 80 organizations have registered to participate in the Cuyahoga County Virtual Job Fair Week, held from June 15-19. Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis in March, over 136,000 County residents have applied for unemployment.
The Virtual Job Fair will provide a platform for employers to describe their hiring needs, products, services, career pathways, workplace culture, and how to apply. OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland-Cuyahoga County is also working with job seekers to facilitate job matching opportunities, including providing help preparing their resumes and getting ready for an interview.
Amazon, Cleveland Clinic, Allstate Insurance, MetroHealth, University Hospitals, Cedar Point, Fifth Third Bank, Giant Eagle, FedEx and Dave’s Markets and Lucky’s Markets are among the many organizations participating. Organizations from the healthcare, local government, home furnishing, food service, banking, recruiting and management sectors among others will be accepting applications and answering questions.
“Putting people back to work is critically important to our future. So, I am happy to see so many local organizations participating in this Virtual Job Fair Week,” said County Executive Armond Budish. “We know the need is there. Being able to make the connection is what we knew would be difficult, and doing this virtually makes that easier. I look forward to the success of this program and facilitating more of these in the future and I am grateful for the support of OMJCC and the Mandel Foundation.”
Participants can register now for the Virtual Job Fair. Once registered, participants can visit the Virtual Job Fair anytime from June 15 at 9:00 a.m. through June 19 at 4:00 p.m. to upload materials and search open jobs, fitting within anyone’s schedule. Participants will have the opportunity to chat with recruiters from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. each day.
For those needing access to computers or the internet, Cuyahoga County has partnered with PCs for People and the Mandel Supporting Foundation at the Jewish Federation to provide computers, hotspots and three months of internet access for free for those eligible. To request a computer or hotspot, participants should call (216) 319-5993.
