Report Highlights COVID-19 Effect on Residents and the County’s Response
CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - Today Cuyahoga Executive Armond Budish released the Strong Together Overview, a comprehensive look at the effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had on Cuyahoga County, and the County’s response to the pandemic.
The Strong Together Overview highlights many of the different ways the County worked internally and with its community partners to combat the pandemic.
The two areas include:
“We’ve never experienced a deadly pandemic like this before,” said County Executive Armond Budish. “What we cared about most was helping residents and businesses who were struggling – getting them the help they needed quickly. I am grateful to County employees for stepping up and adapting to support new and reworked services and programs, and I am thankful for the abundance of community partners who helped make these efforts possible. The pandemic is not over and whether people’s challenges are physical, emotional or financial – we are here to help.”

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - Today Cuyahoga Executive Armond Budish released the Strong Together Overview, a comprehensive look at the effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had on Cuyahoga County, and the County’s response to the pandemic.
The Strong Together Overview highlights many of the different ways the County worked internally and with its community partners to combat the pandemic.
The two areas include:
- Public Health and Safety—Highlights work, initiatives and funds given to contribute to the continued health and safety of residents. Some of these include the creation of the Emergency Operations Center, the Donation Collection Point, COVID-19 scam awareness, increases in testing support and homeless services, among others.
- Economic Crisis—Highlights financial support from the County and community partners to support residents, businesses, and job seekers. Some of these initiatives include the Small Business Resource Center, Small Business Stabilization Fund, Northeast Ohio Rental Assistance Program and Virtual Job Fair.
