CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - Cuyahoga County warns residents to hang up on Election Day scam calls that falsely claim polling locations are closed.

Shaker Heights residents recently reported receiving robocalls saying polls in the City of Shaker Heights will be closed on Election Day and that voters must go downtown to cast their vote. This is false.

Polls in Shaker Heights are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

If you hear of similar activity in your community, please report Election Day robocall scams to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections by calling 216-443-VOTE (8683).

The safest way to avoid robocall scams is to ignore them and report them. Answering or calling back may result in more calls.

As a reminder, you can check your polling location and other relevant election information at http://443VOTE.US.
