CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - County Executive Armond Budish issued the following statement:

“I am thrilled to be able to call Thomas Zenty my friend. I am sad that he is retiring, but I know he’ll continue his strong commitment to service and community.

“Thomas Zenty’s leadership of the University Hospitals Health System over almost 20 years has truly transformed that organization and has had a lasting impact on Cuyahoga County. Not only has Zenty grown the hospital into a regional health and wellness network that employs almost 30,000 people, he has also fostered a culture of innovation.

“Zenty leaves behind an organization that is stronger, more innovative and more devoted to community impact than the one he started with.

“We are lucky to have had him leading an organization so foundational to our county. I wish him all the best as he moves to his next adventure.”
