CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish issued the following statement:
“I want to congratulate U.S. Representative Marcia Fudge on her confirmation to President Biden’s cabinet as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
"I have known her for almost two decades, and she is one of the finest people and public servants I’ve ever worked with. Fudge has served the people of Ohio since 2000 and has long been a tremendous champion for everyone in Northeast Ohio, particularly those most in need.
"In her new role, she will be inheriting the challenges of our housing crisis which has been made worse by the pandemic. Knowing Secretary Fudge, she will tackle her new role with great energy and enthusiasm.
"I can think of no better person to take on this challenge."
