Executive Budish Submits Appointment for Director of Development, Welcomes New Chief Information Officer

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH
- Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish announced that Andy Johnson has been sworn in as the new Chief Information Officer for the Department of Information Technology. His appointment was confirmed on June 22, 2021.

Johnson most recently served as Vice President of the Digital Program Management Office of Diebold Nixdorf. Prior to this role, Johnson served as a consultant of the Enterprise Project Management Office for Progressive Insurance.

In addition, the Executive announced the appointment of Paul Herdeg as Director of Development for the Department of Development. Herdeg’s appointment has been presented to County Council and will be considered for approval after one or more committee hearings.

Mr. Herdeg has worked for the Cuyahoga County Department of Development since 1994, most recently serving as Deputy Chief Economic Development Officer. Prior to this role, Herdeg served as the Director of Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence and the Administrator of Community Development and Housing. He began with the Department of Development as a Housing Manager in 1994.

“I am happy to welcome Andy to the County and look forward to his leadership in our IT department,” said County Executive Armond Budish. “Paul is a dedicated and exceptional employee and I’m glad he has agreed to take on this role.
