CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – County Executive Armond Budish issued the following statement:

“The Cuyahoga County Charter, enacted by County residents, recognizes that the right to vote in ‘free and open’ elections is a ‘fundamental right.’

"Today marks the anniversary of the date that the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was signed to protect the right to vote.

"In light of the current efforts across the country to disenfranchise voters, it is especially important today to renew our efforts to protect democracy by fighting for voting rights for all Americans.”
