Cuyahoga County Department of Development Welcomes Two New Deputy Directors
CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish announced today Vaughn Johnson has been named as Cuyahoga County’s Deputy Director of Development.
Johnson most recently served as Director of the Cleveland Office of the Ohio Minority Business Assistance Center. In this role, Mr. Johnson provided leadership and strategic oversight in the delivery of advisory services and lending opportunities to small, minority-owned, and disadvantaged businesses in Cuyahoga County.
In addition, Sara Parks Jackson has been named Cuyahoga County’s Deputy Director for Housing and Community Development.
Jackson has worked for the Cuyahoga County Department of Development since 1996, most recently serving as Interim Deputy Director for Housing and Community Development. Prior to this role, Jackson served as Housing and Community Development Administrator. She began her role with the Cuyahoga County Department of Development as Development Specialist in 1996.

Vaughn’s extensive experience in supporting small and minority owned businesses makes him highly qualified for this role. I am confident that he will continue to build on the development team’s success in helping our local small and minority business owners get the support they need to thrive,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. “Sara’s leadership and expertise in housing and community development for the County is invaluable. I am pleased that she will be continuing this important work, including managing the programs that work to improve our municipalities and help our residents secure stable and affordable housing and access down payment assistance.”
