CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – The Cuyahoga County Board of Revision (BOR) will accept complaints from property owners to challenge their property valuations for tax year 2021 through March 31, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. EST. All complaints must be filed with the BOR by 4:30 p.m. that day or bear a United States postmark of March 31, 2022. Other postmarks are not valid.
There are several ways to file a complaint:
- File online through the BOR’s website: https://bor.cuyahogacounty.us. You can file your Complaint Form online using a valid email address, which bypasses the requirement for a notary. The BOR has created an online step-by-step visual guide to walk residents through this process.
- Print a hard copy of the Complaint Form, which requires notarization.
- Contact our office so we can mail you a Complaint Form.
- Pick up a Complaint Form from the Board of Revision Office located at 2079 East Ninth St., Second Floor, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.
The BOR website provides additional instructions and examples of different types of evidence that you can submit that relate to your type of property and support your opinion of value. The more evidence you provide to the board, the stronger your case.
“Our office is conducting hearings in-person, by Zoom, and by phone. We are providing these hearing options to make sure everyone has access to the process,” said BOR Administrator Ron O’Leary. “If you contact our office, we will make sure to provide you with a hearing in a format that works best for you.”
The BOR office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information, visit https://bor.cuyahogacounty.us/, email BORinfo@cuyahogacounty.us, or call (216) 443-7195.
