CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – County Executive Chris Ronayne announced plans today to nominate Sarah A. Nemastil, J.D., to lead the County’s Department of Human Resources. The position is established by the County Charter (Section 9.06) and must be approved by County Council. 

Ms. Nemastil, who currently serves as the Administrator of Human Resources for the Sheriff’s Department, previously served the County as an Assistant Law Director within the Labor and Employment practice group, specializing in labor and employment issues. The Director of HR manages recruitment, hiring, firing, compensation and other employment related matters for the County Executive and 4,300+ employees. 

“Sarah has a keen understanding of legal considerations affecting human resources, and also knows the County’s organizational structure and operational needs,” said County Executive Chris Ronayne. “I am thrilled she will bring her experience and leadership to this new role.”
