Cuyahoga County Web Sites Changing to .gov Domains
Automatic redirects in place to prevent any disruptions
CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Have you visited cuyahogacounty.us lately?
On Tuesday, October 17, Cuyahoga County’s Department of Information Technology is migrating most County web addresses to a new URL. The Cuyahoga County home page is now cuyahogacounty.gov.
The County is changing the domain extension to .gov, as that domain is reserved exclusively for official government organizations in the United States. It ensures higher verification, security, and trust for online visitors.
The old URL will send web visitors to the new .gov sites for the foreseeable future.
Email addresses will remain the same for now. The County is working on a date to change emails to a .gov extension.
