County Council seeking applications for 2018 Veterans Services Fund

Posted on

Cuyahoga County has begun the process of selecting those services and programs which will receive 2018 funding from the County’s Veterans Services Fund. The County is seeking applications from organizations that provide direct services to veterans residing in Cuyahoga County.

The Cuyahoga County Veterans Services Fund was established in 2012 to ensure that any dollars appropriated to the Veterans Service Commission (VSC) which go unspent are used to directly benefit veterans within Cuyahoga County. Because the Veteran Services Fund was established to supplement the services provided by the VSC, funding will be allocated to organizations that have a proven track-record of delivering veterans services falling outside the scope of the VSC’s statutory authority.

Please note that this year's available funding is substantially less than in previous years. Award amounts may be adjusted accordingly.

Interested organizations should contact Michael King at mwking@cuyahogacounty.us no later than August 29, 2018.
