Cuyahoga County Celebrates Ohio Loves Transit Week

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – Cuyahoga County proudly recognizes February 11-17, 2024 as “Ohio Loves Transit Week”. Public transit fosters healthy habits that benefit travelers and the environment. Cuyahoga County continues to look for ways to improve and advance equitable transportation access across our region.

Cuyahoga County is encouraging employees to take transit this week as a part of the employee Wellness Program ‘Cuyahoga Loves Transit Challenge’. The Transit Challenge coincides with Ohio Loves Transit week and comes on the heels of an information session with representatives from County Human Resources and the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) about transportation benefits available to County employees, including a monthly transit pass at a discounted rate. Employees who attended the information session are also eligible for a free one-day GCRTA pass.

“Safe, reliable public transportation is essential for healthy individuals and communities, and here in Cuyahoga County, we are fortunate to have a robust system,” said Annie Pease, Cuyahoga County Senior Advisor on Transportation. “This week, we encourage all Cuyahogans to join us by taking advantage of public transit and considering your transportation choices as you think about personal wellness goals.”
