CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works, the City of Parma, and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) invite the public to provide comments regarding the replacement of the bridge over West Creek on West Ridgewood Drive.

The project will involve the complete replacement of the existing West Ridgewood Drive bridge over West Creek in Parma. The adjacent roadway pavement will undergo resurfacing and full-depth replacement where needed. Driveway aprons affected by the construction will be replaced in kind. Signs and pavement marking within the project limits will be replaced as well.

West Ridgewood Drive will be closed at the immediate location of the bridge project. Through traffic will be detoured via State Road, Snow Road, and Broadview Road. Local access to properties along West Ridgewood Drive and the adjacent side streets will be maintained at all times during construction.

Four temporary and one small area of permanent right of way will be needed to construct the new bridge, maintain access to all properties and to complete the associated site grading improvements.

Some impacts to utilities are expected, including relocations of an underground gas main and utility poles. Other utilities may be adjusted within the project limits.

Construction is currently scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026 and will last approximately nine months.

Questions and comments must be submitted by May 24, 2024, and may include the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, floodplains, and historic or cultural resources.
