Fatherhood Conference Kicks Off Father’s Day Weekend

20 Area Fathers to be Honored at the 18th Annual Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative Conference

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH - The Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative encourages fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures to attend the 18th Annual Fatherhood Conference this Friday, June 14. More than 70 organizations are participating in the Resource Fair and hundreds of community leaders and fathers are registered for Educational Workshops, a Town Hall Meeting and an Awards Luncheon.

"As a father, I understand the powerful influence we have on our children's lives. Our presence, guidance, and love can shape who our children become," said Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne. "The Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative is committed to supporting fathers in this important role by providing resources and encouragement to help them create healthy and nurturing environments for children."

As part of the conference, 20 area Fathers will be recognized for their role as an outstanding Father in the Community. The keynote speaker for this year’s Awards Luncheon is Dr. Michael A. Baston, the President of Cuyahoga Community College. The Fatherhood Conference is sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative, Saint Luke’s Foundation, Dollar Bank, and Meijer Fairfax Market.
