CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH –Today, Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne joined County Council President Pernel Jones, Jr., County Board of Elections Director Anthony Perlatti, Cleveland Cavaliers, Rock Entertainment Group and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse CEO Nic Barlage, and County Sheriff Harold Pretel to invite all registered voters to get to the ballot box in celebration of Vote Early Day. Voting early is a convenient way to secure your vote, while avoiding Election Day crowds and promoting an easier, more accessible election process.

“Vote Early Day is a great way to remind our residents that EVERY vote matters,” said Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne. “This year, there are many critical races and issues on the ballot throughout the County and the nation. By casting your vote, you will help to shape your future, your community, and the world for generations to come.”

“Today is about action, about showing up for our communities, our families, and our future,” said Cuyahoga County Council President Pernel Jones, Jr. “Because of the work of our Board of Elections, Sheriff’s Department and community partners, we can ensure residents’ voting process is smooth, safe, secure, and accessible to everyone. They are true defenders of our democracy, and today we honor that commitment.”

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will serve as a polling location for the 2024 General Election on Tuesday, November 5. Cuyahoga County residents can search for their polling location by entering their address here.

"Our commitment to Northeast Ohio goes far beyond basketball. We believe in creating meaningful impact through civic engagement and community empowerment. As we approach the November 2024 election, we're proud to once again leverage our platform to educate, inspire and mobilize our community,” said Nic Barlage, Cleveland Cavaliers, Rock Entertainment Group and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse CEO. “This is part of our broader vision to build a stronger, more engaged Cleveland, working alongside Cuyahoga County, the City of Cleveland and other community organizations. When we unite our voices and take action together, we can create a positive future for Northeast Ohio.”

Vote Early Day is a non-partisan voter mobilization effort to encourage the public to participate in the electoral process. Vote Early Day runs from 7:30 a.m. through 8:30 p.m. on October 29 at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. For more information about voting on Election Day, visit here.

“The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections appreciates the opportunity to be a part of this special day that promotes Early In-Person Voting on a national level,” said Anthony Perlatti, Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.  “We are grateful to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA, and Cuyahoga County leaders who understand the importance of voting and encourage voters to take advantage of this safe and secure voting method.”

Throughout the election cycle, and most importantly, on Election Day, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department will be on duty to ensure that polling locations are safe. The Sheriff’s Department partners with law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal levels to provide a coordinated security plan across the County. In addition, the Cuyahoga County Emergency Operations Center will be operational on Election Day, led by the County’s Office of Emergency Management and staffed by additional public safety agencies.

“In Cuyahoga County, although we are planning for a safe and secure Election Day, we continue to prepare for any adverse events,” said County Sheriff Harold Pretel. “Policing is a partnership with the public. If you see something, say something. Report suspicious or illegal activity to law enforcement.”
