CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – It is extremely disheartening to see our elected leaders in Columbus remain so out of touch with the citizens they were elected to serve. At a time when our state leaders should prioritize the wellbeing of our residents, this spending bill is both irresponsible and short-sighted.
While our residents have asked for the State to strengthen our schools and libraries, improve access to healthcare, build upon our infrastructure, and maintain community services, the State has responded with a budget that falls short of those important priorities and underinvests in our working families, our children, and our neighborhoods. Instead, they have chosen to favor private interests and billionaires while stripping away state dollars for essential services for Ohioans.
In Cuyahoga County we will continue to defend taxpayer dollars and fight for services and support for all of our residents. We must continue to protect the most vulnerable in our community, invest in small businesses and economic development to grow our economy, and provide vital programming to our residents.
