CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH —Cuyahoga County is collecting school supplies for local students through the Back to School Challenge 2025. The campaign encourages residents, businesses, and organizations to donate classroom essentials to help students get ready for the upcoming school year.
Requested donations include backpacks, calculators (TI 30 or higher), colored pencils, crayons, glue (bottles or sticks), highlighters, loose-leaf paper, markers, pencils, pens, and scissors. Donations can be hand-delivered to the Old Brooklyn Neighborhood Family Service Center, located at 4261 Fulton Parkway in Cleveland, on Monday, July 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you can’t drop off supplies, pickups can be arranged by emailing DCFSOutreach@jfs.ohio.gov.
For convenience, the County has created Amazon and Target wish lists that will allow supplies to be shipped directly to the donation center.
Volunteers are needed to help sort and pack supplies. Individuals or groups can sign up online at: Sign Up Genius.
A portion of the collected supplies will be given to local families during the 2025 Cuyahoga County Family Fun Day, a free community event that promotes Child Support Awareness Month. The event will feature fun activities, including games, face painting, music, entertainment, and resources from over 70 county and community agencies.
