Play Scamo Every Weekday at the Cuyahoga County Fair

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH—Back by popular demand, Scamo returns to the Cuyahoga County fair, where attendees will have the chance to play each weekday during the fair.

Scamo is a fun, bingo-style game that teaches players how protect themselves and their loved ones from scams. The free games are appropriate for everyone from school-age readers to grandparents.

“Last year, we played Scamo at the fair on opening day, but so many people asked for the chance to play on other days that, this year, we decided to offer it Tuesday through Friday,” said Sheryl Harris, Director of the Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs.

Scamo games will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 5 through Aug. 8 in the Fairground’s Olde Barn Pavilion. The Fairgrounds are located at 19201 East Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights.

Scamo Bingo is free with fair admission, and all materials will be provided. Seating is first come, first served.

Scamo was created with a grant from the Sears Consumer Protection and Education Fund, a settlement fund operated by the 50 state attorneys general. Information for the games was drawn from the expertise of the county’s multi-agency Scam Squad task force.
