Businesses, Community Groups, and Sports Teams join Holiday Giving Programs

CUYAHOGA COUNTY — Small businesses, community-based organizations and professional sports clubs are partnering with Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services (DCFS) to help brighten the holiday season for foster and kindship care youth by collecting toys and monetary donations for the County’s Holiday Giving Programs.

Cleveland Charge and Cleveland Monsters Toy Drives:

The Cleveland Charge and the Cleveland Monsters are supporting the Hope for the Holidays campaign by encouraging their fans to being new, unwrapped toys to the game or by donating directly through the DCFS Amazon list.

Cleveland Charge: December 3, December 5

Cleveland Monsters: November 28, November 29, December 4, December 6

McCarthy’s Downtown “Toys for Joy” Donation Drop-Off Event:

McCarthy’s Downtown is hosting a holiday collection event, accepting new toys and monetary donations to benefit foster and kinship care youth.

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2pm to 6pm

Location: 1231 Main Ave., Cleveland

Building Bikes Spreading Love Community Bike Build:

The 10th Annual Building Bikes Spreading Love initiative continues to raise funds for bicycles for youth in foster care. Those seeking to donate new bikes or funds can do so at BuildingBikesSpreadingLove.com.

Donation Deadline: Friday, December 5

Bike Assemble Day: Sunday, December 7, 2pm to 4pm

Location: Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, Chargin Falls
