I’m deeply concerned by reports of an FBI raid on the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, which has long worked to expand voter participation and strengthen civic engagement across our state.

 

In Cuyahoga County and in Ohio, we have a strong track record of conducting safe, secure, and transparent elections. I have full confidence in the integrity of our local election system and in the dedicated people who work every day to protect it. Any attempt to intimidate or prevent our residents from exercising their right to vote is wrong.

 

Every voter deserves to participate in our democracy without fear, confusion, or intimidation and encouraging citizens to register to vote and cast a ballot is not a crime. All Ohioans deserve answers and transparency.
