On April 27, the State of Ohio announced the Responsible RestartOhio plan, which details the reopening of the economy. What does it mean for you and your family, your job, and our community?

The plan lays out specific dates where certain industries can reopen their business after meeting mandatory safety requirements for customers and employees. Click on the links below to read the guidance for these businesses.

All businesses must follow general safe practices to reopen, including:

  • Requiring face coverings for all employees; recommending them for clients and customers.
  • Conducting daily health assessments or self-evaluations of employees.
  • Maintaining good hygiene such as hand washing and social distancing.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing workplaces during the day, between shifts, and at close of business.
  • Limiting capacity to meet social distancing guidelines.

The following establishments will remain closed:

  • Schools and childcare
  • Restaurants and bars (no dine-in)
  • Personal appearance and beauty businesses
  • Older adult care and senior centers
  • Adult day support or vocational rehabilitation group services
  • Entertainment, recreation, and gyms

More information can be found on the Responsible RestartOhio website.
