National Consumer Protection Week – Expert Advice on Your Schedule
“Normal business hours” don’t work for everybody. We know some consumers have trouble finding time during the day to call consumer advice lines.
So during National Consumer Protection Week (March 5-11), Cleveland-area consumer agencies are participating in evening and weekend events designed to get you expert advice -- on your schedule.
Agencies staffing phone lines include Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission, the Ohio Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, Apprisen (Consumer Credit Counseling), ProSeniors, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
Channel 3 will broadcast the call-in number during its evening newscasts March 7.
More comfortable typing than talking? We can help you there, too. Channel 3 is hosting a Facebook Live Chat at https://www.facebook.com/WKYC.Channel3/ from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7.
Our office is officially open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but you can file a complaint with us anytime it’s convenient for you by using the “File a Complaint” or “Report a Scam” form posted at http://consumeraffairs.cuyahogacounty.us/
